What is Absolute Value??
- The number of units a number is from zero on the number line.
- The absolute value of a number is always a positive number (or zero).
- We specify the absolute value of a number n by writing n in between two vertical bars: |n|.
Examples:
|6| = 6
|-12| = 12
|0| = 0
|1234| = 1234
|-1234| = 1234
|-12| = 12
|0| = 0
|1234| = 1234
|-1234| = 1234
