What are Unit Rates Used For?
Unit rates are used to compare the costs of items in a grocery store.
For example if eight ounces of orange juice cost $2.25 and twelve ounces of juice costs $3.25, you would calculate the unit rate to determine which container was the cheapest.
This Is How you would figure out a Unit rate;
1.) Write as a Ratio.
2.) Divide Accordingly
3.) Compare
