Identify the Rise & Run.
This is not hard because the boards are actually called the risers and the runners.
Measure both the Rise & Run.
You do this by using a ruler or measuring tape to exactly identify the measurement of both the riser & runner
Set up your slope as a ratio of Rise over Run.
Simplify you fraction to lowest form.
